A how-to shows how to get something done in WritOnline.

A paper book is easier to read on a screen when each part has a bookmark. WritOnline builds them from the Index of your draft, so the bookmarks follow the order your court expects.

The steps

  1. Finish the draft so the Index lists every part and annexure.
  2. Export to PDF. Each Index entry becomes a bookmark pointing to its page.
  3. Open the PDF and click through the bookmarks. Each should land on the heading of its part.
  4. If a page moved because you edited after exporting, export again.

When to adjust by hand

  • Annexures that you scanned separately and merged into the file. Check their bookmarks after merging.
  • A court that asks for a different bookmark order from the Index. Rename or reorder them in your PDF tool.

This is practice guidance for advocates, not legal advice. Rules and notices change: check the current rule or notice of the court before you file.

Draft it in the court’s own form.

Pick the court and add your facts. WritOnline sets the sections in the order this booklet describes. You review and sign.
